The Shutter House was established in 1984 by the Zandel family, who after experiencing Roller Shutter in Europe for many years, decide to begin manufacturing and assembling them right here in Adelaide.

At the beginning, the only available components for manufacturing Rollers shutters had to be imported from overseas. There was no choice!

After several years in the industry, a few short comings became apparent with the imported products ability to deal with Australia's harsh climate. So, this lead The Shutter House on the path to produce many components locally and a Roller Shutter of up to 90% Australian content.

This is not only great news for our customers, but also great news for Australia!
